2008 Ancient Kingdoms Explorer:16 day Laos, Cambodia & Thailand Tour

2008 Ancient Kingdoms Explorer - 16 days

Follow in the footpaths of one of Asia’s mightiest ancient races.

Trace the roots of one of Asia's mightiest ancient races through little-visited pockets of the continent, where you will discover secrets of the past in the smiles and sights of today.

At the height of the kingdom's power, the Khmers ruled from Myanmar (Burma) to Vietnam, from China to Thailand, and their legacy and influence is apparent across the region today, a thousand years later. Get far off the beaten path to discover rarely-visited vestiges of the empire on this journey from the modern metropolis of Bangkok through laid-back Laos and into Cambodia before culminating at the Khmer Kingdom's crowning glory – Angkor Wat. You won't be disappointed!

Your itinerary was perfect - I loved starting out in dazzling Bangkok, leaving the other tourists behind in some of the most beautiful, off the beaten path towns, and then finishing up at Angkor.
