2009 Middle Kingdom Explorer - 16 days

Experience the spiritual side of China on this 16-day journey that takes in all the highlights, as well as some of the Middle Kingdom’s most treasured religious relics. From the teeming streets of the capital Beijing, we venture into Shanxi Province, which harbours the beautiful Yungang Grottoes and Hanging Monastery, as well as the walled city of Pingyao. Marvel at the Terracotta Warriors in Xian, see the renowned Shaolin monks perform Kung Fu and wonder at the spectacle of the World Heritage-listed Longmen Grottoes. Your journey ends on a contrasting note, among the bright lights and bustle of Shanghai, one of Asia’s most exciting cities.
